What if I still cannot afford the tuition, even with tuition assistance?

When filling out the tuition assistance request on FACTS you should indicate your family’s realistic ability to pay.  After reviewing your application you may receive more funding that your actual documented need if you can show ‘just cause’.

What if my income decreases during the school year?

If you face a decrease in income due to job changes, layoff, etc., you must contact the Saint Brigid Parish Business office and your tuition payments may be adjusted to reflect your change in income. Adequate proof of change is required.

How can the school afford to educate students without families paying full tuition?
Since no MACC family pays the full cost to educate their child, fundraising income helps to cover the total cost of education. Your participation in fundraising is both appreciated and important.

Active parishioners are eligible for tuition assistance, but what is an “active parishioner?”
We define an active parishioner as one who:

  • attends Mass weekly (at St. Brigid Parish monthly)
  • participates in parish life (volunteering, retreats, formation for children and adults, Mass ministries, etc.)
  • tithe as appropriate and make contributions to support Church and other charities.

Other area parishes also offer subsidies to their parishioners and may use a different definition.

Will my family receive a tuition refund if our child or children change schools before the school year is complete?
If your children change schools before the school year is complete, tuition amounts will be prorated and the unused portion refunded to you (this applies to amounts paid in advance). Fees are not refundable unless the family has been transferred from the city of Midland due to a job change.

What forms do I need to fill out each school year?
The Registration Forms can be accessed online through your Digital Academy account. If you are a new family, you can access those forms here. Registration forms must be completed each school year by new and returning families. In addition to the online forms, any family who is a registered MACC parishioner must have a physical copy of the Parent-Parent Contract signed by their priest and turned into the office in order to receive the MACC tuition subsidy.
