Saint Brigid Catholic School offers numerous athletic & extra-curricular opportunities that provide our students with intellectual and physical growth, leadership opportunities and more.

Extracurricular

  • Battle of the Books encourages and rewards teams of 4th & 5th grade students who read a list of specified books chosen by the Midland Public Library; students compete with their knowledge in a fun and team-building environment
  • The Castle – our fifth-grade school store
  • Lego Club – an after school program for students from kindergarten through 3rd grade as in introduction to LEGO robotics
  • FIRST LEGO League Robotics team – students in grades 4th & 5th  work as a team to design, assemble, and program a LEGO robot and compete head to head with specific challenges to master
  • FIRST Teach Challenge Robotics team-students in grades 6th-8th work as a team to compete head to head, by designing, building, and programming a robot to compete in an alliance format against other teams
  • Student Council (1st-5th grade) & Student Leadership (Middle School)
  • Drama Club
  • Girls on the Run –  inspires girls in grades 3rd-5th of all abilities to recognize their individual strengths while building a sense of connection in a team setting. The team competes in a 5k together at the end of the season
  • “Mass buddies” – middle school students act as mentors for lower elementary students during weekly Mass

Service Opportunities 

  • Thanksgiving dinner prepared annually at Saint Brigid to provide to people in need
  • Service to local nursing home facilities, as well as a Veteran’s Administration hospital in Saginaw
  • Lent Fish Fries
  • Advent and Lent service projects
