Fr. Stephen Blaxton was born on December 4th, 1985, in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. He attended Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan and Franciscan University of Steubenville in Steubenville, Ohio where he graduated in 2008 earning a Bachelor of Science in Mental Health and Human Services. Fr. Stephen worked in Catholic secondary education at Villanova Preparatory School in Ojai, California and St. Bernard's Catholic School in Eureka, California between 2008-2012 before entering seminary. He pursued seminary studies at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit earning a Bachelor of Philosophy in 2014 and Master of Divinity in 2018. In addition, he received a Baccalaureate in Sacred Theology from the University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome, Italy in 2018. Fr. Stephen was ordained to the priesthood on May, 31st 2019 by Bishop Walter Hurley. His previous assignments include parochial vicar, St. Dominic Parish, Saginaw (2019), chaplain of Saginaw Valley State University (2019), and pastor of Holy Family Parish, Sandusky (2020-2024).
